Character Bios

Manuella "Manny" Santos (Cassie Steele)

Manny has always been friends with Emma; they have known each other their whole life. She was always known to be a bit of a mouse, and she even managed a date with her crush, Craig. But when he broke her heart, she thought she would never date again. Especially later, when she asked out popular boy Sully and was turned down. He said she was just "cute". She did not want to be "cute".She then got some advice from Paige- "Just change your image-As simple as that." So, she did, and did she! She started dressing skanky and slutty, and it really worked! Sully then wanted to date her...as did Craig-but he was dating Ashley! Other best friend, J.T, even had a crush on her. But Manny's new image led to deserting her best friends. Then, Manny had an affair with Craig-while still dating Ashley! This worked for a while, but Ashley found out and dumped him. As did Manny. But then, Manny found herself pregnant! She had a abortion after realizing she was not maternal at all. After everything was sorted out, her life was easier. She even started going out with J.T! But that ended when she decided he was too immature for him. Now, she's going out with Spinner.

Paige Michalchuk (Lauren Collins)

Paige has a detailed history. She became the most popular school girl when Ashley took ecstacy and became immensly unpopular. Worst part is, Paige deserted her-AND THEY WERE BEST FRIENDS! But then again, Paige was always known as a backstabber.She then became friends with new girl Hazel. But that all changed when she was raped by a collage frat guy, Dean. She became a kinder person after this. She even once again befriended Ashley.Paige has even been in 3 bands with Ashley. Most recently, Paige lost her rape trial against Dean and broke up with boyfriend Spinner when he cheated on her.

James Tiberus "J.T" Yorke (Ryan Cooley)

J.T has an 'interesting' history. He has been friends with Emma and Manny for sooo long. Then, his friend from camp, Toby, came to Degrassi. J.T formed a huge crush on Paige, also, and became the Degrassi Panthers's mascot. Later, J.T developed a crush on Manny. They even started going out, but stopped when J.T tried to improve his *thing* if you get my drift. Npw, he going out with Liberty, who has been friends with him and had a crush on him, too.

Hazel Aden (Andrea Lewis)

Hazel came to Degrassi in 8th grade and soon became friends with Paige. When Nationality day came, Hazel made everyone think she was Jamacan. But actually, she's Muslim. So, when a muslims's display was vandalized, she felt guilty and confessed to her class she's Muslim, too. Later, she joined Paige's band, PMS. When she got detention (for looking at porn in school!!!), she and Jimmy hooked up. Most recently, Jimmy was shot by Rick. Luckilly, he's doing okay.

Jay Hogart (Mike Lobel)

Jay first appeared on the show when Sean went all Eminem on Emma. He had gotten into a fight with him, but eventually befriended him- the wrong way. He made him steal stuff, including newly-diagnosed cancer Mr.Simpson's laptop. When Emma found out, she hated Sean's guts. After Sean moved back to Wasaga Beach, Emma found out he's been having oral with other girls. Emma may or may not have had it with him, but Jay knows for sure. Jay previously dated Alex.

Craig Manning (Jake Epstein)

Craig came to Degrassi with a terrible secret- his dad abused him. Although this happened, he made friends with people like Sean, Marco, Jimmy, Ashley, and others. But when his uncle Joey found out about what his father does to him, he let Craig live with him. Soonthereafter, Craig and his dad got into an arguement. Apparently that was enough to depress him, because he was driving and was killed in a car crash. Although Craig probably despised his father, he was was still sad. Then, he started going out with Ashley. In addition, he started to CHEAT on Ashley with Manny. But Ash found out and dumped him. But then. he got Manny pregnant! They broke up, but tried to have the child. Manny decided to go through with an abortion. Most recently, Craig got back together with Ashley and was recently diagnosed as bipolar after he started having sudden outrages.
